Rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman will not play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a coach’s decision, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Schultz reported that the move is not performance-based and that the Bills “want to see more from him in other areas.”
Coleman recorded three catches on eight targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in last week's 30-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins .
When quarterback Josh Allen was asked postgame whether Coleman was doing enough with his opportunities, the quarterback paused before replying: “He got one (a touchdown) today, so yeah.”
The Bills, who usually dress five wide receivers, had a decision to make after signing Mecole Hardman from the practice squad to the active roster, elevating Gabe Davis and Joshua Palmer returning again
