Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) has one more chance to reach a bargain with its faculty members before they indefinitely strike .

The school and representatives from HACC’s faculty union, the Harrisburg Area Community College Education Association (HACCEA), bargained for hours on Thursday and Friday, and HACCEA made additional efforts on Saturday.

A final bargaining session is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday. If no agreement is reached, HACC faculty will strike on Monday with “no plans to return to the classroom until an agreement is reached.”

“While the association is disappointed that we have not reached an agreement at this time, we are continuing to be hopeful that an agreement will be reached,” HACCEA said in a news release.
