ARKADELPHIA -- Henderson State may have shown up to its neighbors empty handed Saturday, but it had plenty in its possession by the time it headed home.
The Reddies got three total touchdowns from quarterback Andrew Edwards and a workmanlike performance out of their defense to beat Ouachita Baptist 41-14 to win the 98th Battle of the Ravine in front of an overflow crowd at Cliff Harris Stadium.
The win was the second straight for Henderson State (8-3, 8-3 Great American Conference) on their rivals' homefield and gave it a measure of revenge after dropping a 27-20 decision in last season's showcase. But the biggest prize the Reddies' obtained was the fact that they'll hold Highway 67 bragging rights over the Tigers for the next 364 days.
