Cristina Sanchez Cerqueira, a junior forward for the University of Arkansas women's basketball team, had a stern message Thursday following the Razorbacks' 68-60 victory over Southeastern Louisiana.
The too-close-for-comfort win over a Lady Lions team that one week prior was blown out by 89 points at No. 5 LSU served as a wake-up call for Arkansas. The Razorbacks were sloppy on both ends of the court and appeared to lack focus throughout the game.
With a trip to Texas Tech looming three days later, Sanchez Cerqueira made it clear Arkansas cannot afford a similar performance.
"We know if we go there and we play like this," Sanchez Cerqueira said, with guard Taleyah Jones nodding in agreement, "it's not going to be good."
