MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - A Montpelier man has been arrested and faces multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed car chase that ended in a crash and injured two passengers.
At around 3 a.m. on November 15, Montpelier police officers say they saw a suspicious car at the intersection of Granite and Barre Streets. Officers then began to follow the car, which they say immediately sped up.
The car exceeded speeds of 60 mph as it drove through the city, passed through a flashing red light without stopping, and turned off all exterior lights, according to the police.
