Seeking to stay beyond the escalating storm inside the Lalu Prasad Yadav household, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Sunday backed Rohini Acharya’s emotional assertion of a daughter’s rights, even as he avoided commenting directly on her allegations and urged the Yadav family to settle the matter quickly.

Paswan said he understood the emotional rupture Rohini described, adding that women should not be made to feel their parental home no longer belongs to them after marriage. “I do not believe that after marriage, the in-laws’ home is the only home for a daughter.
