Mumbai is a mecca for real estate, luring developers to the city to set up at least one project, confident that they will be able to sell houses riding on the current wave of demand in the sector.

While some have succeeded, there are many who are finding that the pot of gold may not be realised.

Not all are enamoured of the potential that the city seemingly has to offer. Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of the Kolkata-based Ambuja Neotia group, is a notable exception. In a recent conversation with this newspaper, in response to a question on any possible plans to enter Mumbai, he said he was not looking at anything in the city right now.
