FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. —

A small earthquake was reported by the United States Geological Survey just after midnight on Sunday.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) recorded the quake as a magnitude 2.5 event about five miles southeast of Flemingsburg, Kentucky. It was reported as occurring at 12:44 a.m. Sunday.

According to the USGS, people typically report feeling earthquakes when they are around magnitude 3.0.
