OSAGE COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) responded to an officer-involved shooting Saturday Morning, that left one man dead and four law enforcement officers injured.
The incident occurred around 10:24 a.m. at 11222 S Topeka Ave near Carbondale in Osage County, Kansas. The Osage County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) were dispatched to a domestic disturbance after a woman called 911. Law enforcement encountered a suspect identified as Stephen M. McMillan, 22, outside the residence. During the encounter, gunfire was exchanged.
