MADRID, Spain — The Washington Commanders embarked on a historic weekend of NFL football as one of two teams competing to be the first to win a game in the country of Spain, ever.

To do it, the Commanders changed a number of things, including their defensive play-caller and the approach of having four running backs active for the game, calling veteran Chase Edmonds up from the practice squad in addition to Chris Rodriguez Jr., Bill Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols, who are already on the active roster.

Heading into the bye week, however, more changes need to be considered after falling 16-13 to the Miami Dolphins.
