A pedestrian was injured in Chambersburg after he stepped out into the road and into the path of a vehicle, police said.

Chambersburg police responded around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday to the 400 block of West Loudon Street. They found a 45-year-old man with injuries.

Police said the man stepped into the path of a vehicle headed east on West Loudon Street and was hit. He was flown to York Hospital for his injuries.

Police did not provide an update on his condition.

West Loudon Street becomes Lincoln Highway, and cars do not have a stop sign at the intersection where the man was hit, although the speed limit is 35 mph.
