OSAGE COUNTY, Kan. (KCTV) - Four law enforcement officers were shot south of Topeka on the morning of Saturday, November 15.

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, it happened at around 10:30 a.m. at a residence near 113th and S. Topeka Ave., north of Carbondale, Kan.

Officers responded to a domestic call after a woman called 911. Upon arrival, law enforcement encountered a male suspect, identified as 22-year-old Stephen M. McMillan.

Authorities were on the scene for less than 10 minutes when gunfire erupted. Four law enforcement officers, three Osage County Sheriff’s Deputies, and one Kansas Highway Patrol State Trooper, were shot.
