The Green Bay Packers lost their starting quarterback for a few minutes in the first half of a Week 11 matchup against the New York Giants.
Jordan Love took a hard tackle from linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles during a scramble and jogged to the Packers' blue medical tent on the sideline during Green Bay's second possession. Love ended up back in the locker room for a few moments after an initial evaluation.
Green Bay initially ruled him questionable for the remainder of the game, but Love returned at the start of the Packers' third possession.
In the starter's absence, backup quarterback Malik Willis finished off a touchdown drive at the start of the second quarter in the Meadowlands.
Jordan Love injury update
Love missed the final seven plays of Green Bay's touchdown drive in the second quarter in Week 11 while dealing with a left (non-throwing) shoulder injury. He spent some time in the locker room but made it back for the Packers' next possession.
Green Bay's starting quarterback sustained his shoulder injury when he was tackled at the end of a four-yard scramble near the end of the first quarter. The Packers initially ruled Love questionable to return, but he made it back on the field within about five minutes of in-game time.
In his three seasons as the Packers' starting quarterback, Love has missed two games. Both were last year with a knee injury he suffered in Week 1 of the 2024 season.

The Packers have two quarterbacks on their active roster in 2025.
Love has made every start this season, but Willis got some action on Nov. 16 as the starter dealt with a left shoulder injury. Willis completed both of his two pass attempts for six yards and a touchdown in his one drive behind center in Week 11. He also had one rush for 16 yards.
The former third-round pick by the Tennessee Titans went 2-0 as a starter with the Packers last year as Love missed time with a knee injury.
