(WNDU) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Indiana Hoosiers stayed put in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll .
The Irish (8-2) remain at No. 9 after beating Pittsburgh while the Hoosiers (11-0) stayed at No. 2 after a victory over Wisconsin . IU received eight first-place votes in this week’s poll.
As for other regional teams in the poll, Michigan remains at No. 18 after a close win over Northwestern.
The third College Football Playoff rankings will be released this Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. In the second rankings issued this past Tuesday , IU was No. 2, Notre Dame was No. 9 and Michigan was No. 18.
NEWCOMERS : North Texas (No. 22), Missouri (No. 23), Tulane (No. 24) and Houston (No. 25)
DROPPED OUT : Louisville (No. 19), Cincinnati (No. 22), Pitts
