Baldwin County Corrections Center inmates worship with University of Mobile students

Students from the University of Mobile paid a visit to inmates of the Baldwin County Corrections Center to share the Word of God.

The powerful service included a message from UM Campus Pastor Jared Baria and live worship music.

The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said it was the first time live music had ever been performed in the jail. They said it was an "unforgettable experience."

The jail offers optional church services as a space to encourage, reflect and focus on faith.

"We're hopeful that opportunities like this, along with the many other programs offered to inmates, help fuel change, create a positive environment, and support success after release," the sheriff's office stated.

The sheriff's office said it would continue to partner with UM for future church services.
