Bubbles, a 4-year-old Persian cat, sat gracefully with the man in charge of Christmas wishes, for her moment in the spotlight Sunday.

Just a month ago, it wouldn’t have been possible for Bubbles to get a photo with Santa Claus, said Riley Carson of Toledo.

“Midway Animal Hospital, in Bowling Green, had her posted on their website,” said Ms. Carson. “She was found and taken to Midway. I guess her owners could not take care of her medical bills so Midway was looking for a home for her. I decided to go and adopt her. This is her very first picture with Santa.”

Bubbles was just one of dozens of pets that came and sat with 419 Santa for pictures. Pet Photos with Santa was sponsored by Shelby Parton, a licensed insurance agent with HealthMarkets Insurance Agency, in Sylvania.
