When it rains, it pours, and the 2025 Atlanta Falcons season might drown soon enough if the bad breaks keep coming down.
Sophomore quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has exited a must-win game against the Carolina Panthers in the third quarter after what appears to be an ankle or knee injury.
Penix Jr. went into the medical tent after holding his leg, then exited to sit on the bench without his helmet, as backup quarterback Kirk Cousins began to warm up in his place.
Cousins would then replace Penix Jr. on the next Falcons drive, completing the first two passes he threw on the day.
We will update you on Penix Jr. and his apparent injury as the story progresses out of Atlanta.
