ATLANTA — The Panthers proved they could throw it.
And Bryce Young proved his toughness.
And they were finally able to overcome their Atlanta problem.
The Panthers came back for a frantic 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons on Sunday, which saw Young leave the game briefly but return to throw for a career-high 448 yards.
It allowed them to improve to 6-5 on the season, and sweep the Falcons for the first time since 2013 and just the fourth time in franchise history.
Young hit Tommy Tremble for a 54-yard catch-and-run in overtime, allowing the local product to help seal the game. Kicker Ryan Fitzgerald , who kicked here twice as a high-schooler, won it with a 28-yard field goal, his third walk-off of the season.
