Johnstown treasurer accountability: Consider a rival

Istood outside the Johnstown polling place and listened to voters as they came out. Sure, they wanted the city’s treasurer to be accountable, just as Mayor Amy Praught does.

They described several ways to do that, and not all of them jibe with Praught’s preference, although voters decided, 513-490, to convert the elected position to an appointed post — appointed by Praught.
