ELLSWORTH, Maine (WABI) -The Winter Parking ban in Ellsworth is in effect now until April 1 of next year.

The city announced parking is restricted from midnight until 6AM every day and during these hours cars can only park in the designated green area which you can find on the parking map on the city’s website.

Not only did the city notify residents of the parking ban but they’ve created a full plan for residents to keep in mind for winter service.

The plan was coordinated by the public works department, parks and recreation as well as the fire department given they are the first ones to manage snow and ice around the city.
