An efficient defensive performance and career day from Faith Fedd-Robinson propelled the University of Toledo women’s basketball team to its first win of the season Sunday.

The sophomore scored a team-leading 17 points in the 66-52 win over the University of Detroit Mercy and said she is happy to make any impact for a team that does nothing but praise each other’s success.

“Whether I score two points or 17, we all love each other, we're all happy for each other, and we all have the same common goals,” Fedd-Robinson said.

Rockets coach Ginny Boggess said Fedd-Robinson is continuing to find her stride after practicing a handful of times before the season. Boggess described watching film with her and her overall desire to improve her shot selection.
