Josh Allen and Gabe Davis spent four seasons together in Buffalo. On Sunday, they were inseparable again — literally.
A helmet-bump celebration after Allen’s second rushing touchdown left the two stuck together at the facemask.
After crossing the goal line in a 44-32 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers , Allen jogged to the sideline and leaned in to celebrate with his longtime teammate and newly returned receiver. The helmets clicked, and wouldn’t unclick.
Allen tried to walk forward. Davis stopped him. Their facemasks were wedged together at the forehead, so the two tilted their heads and laughed before Allen and Davis finally removed their helmets — still fused together — allowing a staffer to pry them apart. Allen walked away smiling and flexing.
It was the first time all season
