DALLAS -- Mavericks power forward/center Anthony Davis will be sidelined for at least seven to 10 more days while he recovers from his left calf strain, the team announced Sunday evening.

Davis will miss his ninth straight game Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers .

The latest timetable was determined after Davis was re-evaluated over the weekend.

"He wants to be out there to help us," Mavs coach Jason Kidd said. "But this gives him seven to 10 days to get better or to get stronger. Hopefully, in seven to 10 days, he's back on the floor."

Davis originally targeted the Nov. 8 road game against the Washington Wizards -- the Mavs' lone win in November -- as his return date. That plan was overruled by Mavs governor Patrick Dumont, sources told ESPN.
