Beyond the crispy baklava: Gyro and Pastry Days benefits the Frederick community

To celebrate Greek food and culture, and to benefit economically disadvantaged students and families, the Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church is conducting Gyro and Pastry Days this week.

On Sunday, the scent of lamb gyros, chicken souvlaki and tangy tzatziki sauce wafted through the church parking lot as visitors browsed meal options and dainty Greek pastries.
