Anthony Davis was initially listed as doubtful for the Dallas Mavericks ' game on Sunday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Mavs star was ultimately ruled out, however. He's already missed eight consecutive games with a left calf strain and there is no set timeline for his return. Dallas did provide an update on his status before Sunday's game, though. Expand Tweet

“Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis , who has missed the last eight games due to a left calf strain, was recently re-evaluated,” the Mavs shared. “The evaluation indicated that Davis is making good progress with his recovery. He will be re-assessed in 7-10 days and further updates will be appropriately provided.”
