LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A senior at Saint Xavier High School in Louisville put together 500 kits to help the unhoused community on Sunday through his non-profit named after his late mother.
Touch of Terra is an organization founded by Dylan Boone in honor of his mother, Terra.
Dylan says his mom would keep kits filled with everyday essentials in her car to deliver to those less fortunate around town.
That inspired Dylan to keep his mother’s passion alive over the years.
Dylan and a group of volunteers, including his power-lifting teammates from St. X, packed 500 kits that will be passed out on Thanksgiving Day at Wayside Christian Mission.
Dylan told WAVE that Touch of Terra also has a website that provides information on where people in need of help can find resources.
