BURLINGTON, Iowa (KWQC) -Burlington police are asking for the public’s help after a vehicle was hit by gunfire.

Officers said just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night they responded to the 1200 block of Madison Ave. in Burlington for a report of gunfire.

Officers said they found evidence at the scene of gunfire and a vehicle appeared to be hit.

Officers said the Criminal Investigation Division was requested to assist.

The incident remains under investigation.
