* Employment: 1 crore jobs

At all of his 84 public meetings during the election, CM Nitish Kumar brought up his government’s promise of creating 1 crore jobs in the next five years. Now that it is back, this is most likely to be one of the government’s top priorities. Job creation has been part of the CM’s development pitch ever since RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav almost turned the tables on him in 2020 by striking a chord with his jobs pitch and leading the Mahagathbandhan to 110 seats.
