A bomb threat caused a flight bound for Chicago's O'Hare International Airport to make an unexpected landing at St. Louis Lambert International Airport on Sunday morning, reported KSDK, the NBC affiliate in St. Louis.
St. Louis airport officials confirmed United Airlines Flight 380, which had departed Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, arrived safely in St. Louis at approximately 8:39 a.m.
Police K-9 units searched the airplane, and no explosives were found, KSDK reported.
According to the flight-tracking website, FlightAware.com, the aircraft was delayed 5 hours and 33 minutes. It landed at O'Hare at 2:50 p.m.
Additional details about the bomb threat haven't been released by authorities.
