BUCKSPORT -- The Bucksport Police Department spearheaded a fill the cruiser event this weekend to help support families facing cancer.
Police officers were seen greeting people and collecting food donations outside the Bucksport Hannaford Sunday.
All donations are going directly to the Christine B. Foundation, an organization helping those facing cancer diagnosis' by providing access to healthy food, nutritional information and more.
According to foundation board member Nicole Niles, this effort will help serve the nearly two thousand families they support.
"As a non-profit organization, these donations and partnering with the Bucksport Police Department and serving our community this is amazing, this will help so many families facing cancer," said Niles.
