Clearview made it back-to-back-to-back state titles when it defeated North Hunterdon 2-1 in the NJSIAA Group 3 state final on Saturday in Bordentown.
The Pioneers had to shrug off a 1-0 deficit in the third quarter and then clinched the title when Olivia Cheiran scored on a corner play with 7:04 left in the game.
It was Clearview’s Ella Gandy who got the game winning play started by taking the put in and passing left to Maddie Reeves. Reeves then drilled the ball through the defense where Cherian picked it up near the right post to slap it in for the score.
