The member for Dubbo, Dugald Saunders has announced he is stepping down as the Leader of the NSW National Party.

In a statement, Mr Saunders said it had been an "honour" to lead the Parliamentary team during a "challenging time in Opposition".
"I've always done my best to represent regional NSW," he said.
According to Sarah Mitchell MLC a new Nationals leader will be elected on Tuesday, November 18 at 8.30am when the party room meets.
