It doesn’t have quite as much forward momentum as last week’s cliffhanger seemed to tease, but It: Welcome to Derry provides another couple of thrilling twists in its fourth episode. Lilly’s case for staying out of Juniper Hill gets even flimsier, the military weaponizes Dick Hallorann’s “ shining ” abilities for interrogation purposes, and the Hanlons are finally starting to believe Will’s tall tales about clowns and ghosts.

In true It style, Welcome to Derry weaves the horrors of the real world into a fictional ghost story . We see kids in a classroom watching an instructional video on what to do in the event of a nuclear strike, like it’s the most normal, mundane thing in the world. Charlotte me
