PHOENIX — A man is dead after allegedly being struck in a multi-vehicle collision involving an impaired driver in Phoenix on Saturday evening, authorities said.
The Phoenix Police Department responded to the crash near 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road around 7:30 p.m. and found two drivers suffering from serious injuries upon arrival.
One man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.
The other man, identified as 32-year-old Juan Pineda Ventura, was also taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Pineda Ventura died on Sunday.
The unidentified man was processed for being impaired, authorities said.
