DENVER —
Patrick Mahomes didn’t sugarcoat the Kansas City Chiefs’ position in the AFC West after Sunday’s 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos dropped Kansas City to 5-5 on the season.
Denver improved to 9-2 and now holds a commanding lead in the division over the Chiefs with seven weeks remaining. Advertisement
"It's obviously going to be tough to get back in the division race, but at the end of the day, the goal is to get into the playoffs and try to make a run at it. And all you can focus on is next week. We have to learn from this one as much as possible, knowing that we're going to get a great opponent coming into Arrowhead this next week. We're kind of at that point where we have to find a way to just win football games, and we have to keep moving forward."
The Chiefs have won eight
