Families remember traffic crash victims as community demands action

San Diego community members gathered to honor neighbors killed in traffic crashes as part of World Day of Remembrance, highlighting a growing traffic-safety crisis. In 2023 and 2024, 538 people were killed in traffic crashes across San Diego County, with pedestrians making up roughly one-third of those deaths.
