Brock Purdy was back in action for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday when they visited the Arizona Cardinals, and he looked excellent despite missing each of the last six games with a toe injury. With him looking just about every bit like his old self, the 49ers got themselves a relatively easy 41-22 win.
However, the 49ers, who have been ravaged by injuries dating back to training camp last year, continued to be hit by injuries in Sunday's contest. Several of their defensive players had to leave the game due to various ailments, and kicker Eddy Piñeiro also had to depart because of a hamstring injury.
After the game, as the Niners left the field, Piñeiro was limping noticeably.
