OLYMPIA, Wash. – Vehicle owners in Washington have a new specialty license plate option to consider.

The "throwback" plate, featuring white lettering on a black background, is the latest addition to the state's special design lineup.

This plate recalls a design from the early 20th century and proceeds from its sale will support driver education programs and activities.

Before ordering, owners should decide on personalization options and review the associated fees.

Additionally, several other specialty plates are expected soon, including:

- Pickleball: Available around November 19, 2025, with proceeds benefiting the Seattle Metro Pickleball Association.

- Washington honeybees and pollinators: Availability date pending, supporting the Washington State Beekeepers Association.
