The jury in the trial of the murder of Toyah Cordingley has walked several kilometres of beach to the site of a shallow sand grave where the 24-year-old's body was found in 2018.

The accused — former Innisfail nurse Rajwinder Singh, who has pleaded not guilty to the murder — did not attend the viewing.

The jury of 10 men and two women, alongside three female reserve jurors, was taken from the Supreme Court in Cairns via bus to the beach car park on the side of the Captain Cook Highway, 34 kilometres north-west of Cairns.
