The New Orleans Pelicans recently made a major shake-up by firing head coach Willie Green just 12 games into the season. The decision came after the Pelicans opened the year with a disappointing 2–10 record.

Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars appointed assistant coach James Borrego as the interim head coach. However, the franchise is still searching for a long-term replacement.
