Tom Cruise received an Academy Honorary Award at the 2025 Governors Awards held at The Ray Dolby Ballroom on Sunday (November 16) in Hollywood, Calif.

Director Alejandro G. Iñárritu , who is directing Tom in an upcoming film set for release in October 2026, presented the award to the 63-year-old actor.

Upon taking the stage, Tom paid tribute to the people who make movies possible and reflected on the unifying role of film worldwide.
