ACME Solar Holdings’ subsidiary ACME Aklera Power Technology has been awarded approximately ₹47.4 crore in change-in-law compensation by the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC), the company announced Monday. The ruling is expected to boost revenue from the company’s 250 MW solar project contracted with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) by around 3.5 per cent annually over 15 years.

The compensation covers costs arising from regulatory changes including the imposition of basic customs duty on solar cells and modules, an increase in goods and services tax from 5 per cent to 12 per cent, and associated carrying costs.
