Legendary actors of South Indian cinema, Rajinikanth and Nandamuri Balakrishna, who are celebrating 50 years in the film industry, will be honoured at the closing ceremony of the upcoming International Film Festival of India in Goa. Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L. Murugan announced the news at a media meet in Goa.

He said that Rajinikanth and Balakrishna will be felicitated by the government at IFFI’s closing ceremony, for completing 50 years in cinema, a milestone that celebrates their enduring influence on Indian film culture. He added that this felicitation recognises Rajinikanth and Balayya’s iconic body of work, widespread popularity, and contribution to shaping Indian storytelling across decades.
