US President Donald Trump on Sunday night called on House Republicans to support legislation compelling the public release of Jeffrey Epstein's files, marking a sharp reversal from his earlier opposition to the move.

"House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide," Trump posted on Truth Social.

Trump's major policy reversal follows signals from potentially dozens of Republicans that they are prepared to defect and support releasing the documents.
