Former President and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera has arrived at the party’s headquarters in Lilongwe ahead of his much-anticipated address to the nation.

His appearance marks his first public briefing since the change of government, drawing significant attention from party members and the public.

Chakwera is expected to outline the party’s direction as it prepares for the upcoming political season.

Top MCP officials, including Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda, Spokesperson Jessie Kabwira, and NGC member Simplex Chithyola Banda, are present to welcome him.

The briefing, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., is being held under the theme “Getting MCP Ready to Listen, Unite, Serve, and Govern.”
