Patna: The outgoing NDA government in Bihar on Monday held its final cabinet meeting, where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was formally authorised to recommend the dissolution of the current Assembly, official sources confirmed.

The brief meeting, which lasted around 10 minutes, unanimously passed a resolution enabling Kumar to move the dissolution proposal. Shortly after, the Chief Minister met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at Raj Bhavan to convey the cabinet’s decision.

Nitish Kumar returned to his residence from Raj Bhavan after tendering his resignation, marking the formal end of the outgoing government as preparations begin for the formation of Bihar Government 2.0.
