THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for seven districts considering the heavy rainfall in the state. The districts under yellow alert are Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, and Ernakulam. These districts are likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall. Heavy rain refers to rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours. Yellow alerts have also been issued for various districts for the next two days.
