NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- New Jersey officials are continuing their search for the suspect or suspects responsible for a deadly shooting in Newark that killed a young boy and woman on Saturday night.

The shooting happened on Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street in Newark around 7 p.m. Saturday.

Two young brothers, 10 and 11, were walking home from a recreation center Saturday night when the shooting began, their youth football coach told Eyewitness News.

The younger brother did not survive the onslaught of violence that erupted. His brother was wounded in the crossfire but survived.

A 21-year old woman was also killed, and two men, 19 and 60, were injured and are recovering in the hospital.
