100 Years Ago, 1925: The horses of Delaware County have lost some of their last friends. Today they walk the street forlorn, because at their annual meeting the members of the Delaware County Association for the Protection Against Horse Stealing agreed to disband. The last meeting of the 50-year-old association was held at the home of Howard Dutton, Village Green. The coming of the automobile was given as the reason for disbanding. It is rumored that an association for protection against automobile thieves is to be organized soon although nothing was said at the meeting about the matter.
