( NewsNation ) — TSA officers at Boston Logan International Airport will receive a $10,000 bonus for working through the government shutdown , Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Sunday.
Federal employees, including Transportation Security Administration workers at airports, were furloughed during the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. Some continued working without pay and took up side gigs to make ends meet , while others retired early.
Noem said the TSA officers at Logan Airport didn’t miss a shift.
